Mothers Day and Monkey Island

Today is a special day, we are getting ready to go to Monkey Island to enjoy the sun and celebrate motherhood!

A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"

"Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."

The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy."

God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."

Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?"

God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."

"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"

God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."

"Who will protect me?"

God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking it's life."

"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."

God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."

"You will simply call her, 'Mom.'"

It was a really hot day today! Beautiful and sunny!

There was even a festival going on in Yokosuka that we passed through on our way to the ferry.
Waiting patiently for the ferry to come. Everyone walks by waving and smiling at Beau.

 Jellies! Watch your step!
The beach at Monkey Island, apparently there are no monkeys on Monkey Island.

A spooky / beautiful walk to the caves! Watch out for the Gorillas!

A peaceful lagoon for fishers and drunkards.
Beau had so much fun, he passed out.

Awake and hungry! No sand this time, he's going for fiber!

On our way home from a wonderful day!

A lesson well learned in this life, is the true love of a parent. I really never understood the love of my parents until I became one. Thank you for all of your love!

To all the mothers in my life! Happy Mothers day!

Off to Sally's house

Today we were invited over to Brittany and Phil's house for dinner with Kari and Chris.
We take a bus down to the JR Line and then we take this train to Higashi Zushi.
Baby Beau in the ergo just waking up.
We are at Phil and Brittany's Sally is on the left, she is 10 months old and Kami is on the right she is coming up on 2 years old! That truck must be really interesting.
Sally can take up to 10 steps in a row now!
 Kami calls Beau "B- Bo"!
This is what I call "Pure Cuteness!" ;)
Beau was having so much fun, he loved playing with the girls!
Everyone did great, they all played the whole time and had tons of fun! Beau is quite the ladies man ;)
Dinner was great and it was awesome to go hang out with everybody!

Yum!

Beau loves to eat! It seems to be his favorite part of the day. These are the remnants of a yummy enchilada that our friend Kari brought up for us. If you look closely in this picture you can see Beau's first upper tooth.

Dinner time is over and Beau is  all fun and games! ;)

Kewika's Birthday Party

Today Beau went to his first Birthday party! Kewika (pronounced Kuh-veeka) turned 1 year old. His friends Kedrick and Melody were also there. We all had lots of fun!
Getting 4 babies to sit on a couch with party hats on and look at a camera is almost impossible! Ha

Kurihama: Godzilla Park

Today we went out with our friends Kari Chris and their daughter Kami to Godzilla park. It is only a short bus ride away and a walk through town. To get to Godzilla park you get to pass through flower world. I would say about half of the flowers were in bloom. It was still beautiful.
Oh yea, feeling accomplished about the all uphill journey through flower world!
You can pay 200Y (2$) to ride this little train all the way up through the parks.
 GOZIRRA!
Godzilla is a super fun slide, you climb up the front...
 And shoot out the back!
Dane and Beau having lots of fun!
Dad took Beau down the roller slide! It is a lot of fun, and is probably about 100ft long. Really we are supposed to have little plastic shovels to sit on but we didn't know where to get one.
 There goes Beau! haha
I think overall, Dane and I had more fun than Beau did.
This is at the top of a little tower with lookouts.
 Haha, there's Dane!
Don't worry, Dane didn't actually climb into this tunnel, he wouldn't have fit with the Beau baby.
Mom and Beau down the roller slide.
Even though it was overcast for part of the day, Dane and I had a bit of a sunburn on our arms and faces when we got home!

Shrine that we passed by on the way to the park.
People come here, put that water in their mouth via the ladle, then spit it back in or wash their face with it... oh boy... I can't really handle that.
Overall a most excellent day. We ended it with getting some Japanese Ramen! Was delicious! Beau had some fried rice and eggs, he loved it!
